Ramen was very delicious. They have a self serve rice bowl bar with multiple toppings that you are encouraged to visit while you wait for your ramen. A very nice cook that spoke English met us at the door to show us how to use the ordering machine. We will definitely be back.
View on Googleone of the best ramen I've ever tasted..😊
View on Google湘南乃家@Hakonegasaki Medium cabbage ramen ¥1050, premium nori ¥150 First visit🔰 to “湘南乃家” along National Route 16 in Mizuho, Nishitama The brown soup is so rich that it feels grainy on the tongue❗️That also means the distinctive tonkotsu character and smell are fairly noticeable, making it a connoisseur's style. The kaeshi is mellow with restrained saltiness, so those wanting more punch should probably request a stronger flavor. The Sakai noodles, as served by default, have a smooth, chewy texture with just the right firmness. The chashu is extremely thin, so if you want a meatier experience, adding extra chashu would probably be better. The cabbage topping is thoroughly blanched, which is nice because it doesn't lower the soup's temperature. What deserves special mention is the ¥150 “極上海苔”❗️ It's deep black and thick, with outstanding flavor, so coating it in soup and wrapping it around rice is incredibly delicious. Oh, free rice these days is a welcome service too❗️ I was full, thank you for the meal♪
View on GoogleThe exterior feels a little old, with a faded sign, rusty steel framing, and an uneven parking lot. But inside, it is full of handmade touches, and that age actually gives it a lovely charm. They serve authentic Iekei ramen. The slightly salty broth whets your appetite and makes you keep eating the rice, which comes with unlimited refills. The chashu is large and thin but juicy, with a lovely roasted flavor. Above all, the seasoned egg is exactly to my taste: the yolk is runny, the seasoning is well absorbed, and it is delicious. Even these days, the rice is free! I really hope they keep offering this service. You help yourself to water from a jug. The ticket machine takes cash only, and there is room for 6–7 cars in front of the restaurant.
View on GoogleI finally got to eat at this restaurant I had been curious about for ages. Besides the deeply flavorful broth made with so much time and care, the interior was spacious, the atmosphere and service were great, and it was very comfortable. Plus, even these days the rice is free, making it incredible value. The ramen is also very reasonably priced despite all the time and effort that goes into it🍜🍥 I ended up lingering without meaning to. It was super delicious! Thank you for the meal🙇
