I stopped by on a weekday during the rainy season on the day I was heading home. People were waiting for bento, souvenirs, or, in the case of locals, curry to take home. Since my departure port was 三池港, where there is nothing, the people at my accommodation also recommended buying things here. I bought a nori bento with mackerel, a shinachiku side dish, and 牛乳煎餅. If you are spending 1000円 or more, using しまぽ might be a good idea too.

The lady is so energetic! I bought nori bento, stir-fried papaya, and inarizushi, and everything was delicious. The nori bento had not only seaweed on top of the rice but also several kinds of side dishes, so I enjoyed it to the very last bite. It is far from 錆が浜, but if you are buying bento, I recommend this place.

A small neighborhood shop At lunchtime, they put out homemade bento and side dishes. They often sell out, so I recommend going early(^^) They also stock groceries, drinks, ice cream, ice, vegetables and fruit, ready-to-heat foods, everyday goods, and souvenirs There were also individually portioned souvenirs that other shops do not carry much. 明日葉まんじゅう, 明日葉サブレ, パッションフルーツサブレ, 三宅島産ミルクキャラメル, ゴーフル, and more.

The bento is delicious, especially the eel rice😋 The lady owner is very friendly. Even though I do not understand Japanese, she made every effort to communicate with me and even gave me some snacks!
