You drive a winding mountain road, but there's almost no space to pass oncoming cars, so all you can do is pray none come. Branches hang down and the roadside grass is overgrown, so it's a fairly stressful road. I went through all that to get up there, but the weather was bad, and the trees around the observatory were overgrown too, so it wasn't worth the trip.

It's an observatory from which you can see Mt. Hyotan and Mt. Sanshichi. Whether you get a spectacular view depends heavily on the weather.

You can drive all the way to the observatory. The surrounding trees have grown pretty tall, so even though it's called an observatory, you can't get a view. I think it needs some mowing…

On good-weather days in winter when the air is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji on Honshu. Seriously moving!!!

The scenery is beautiful.
