Great, light shoyu ramen. Noodles are thin and very delicious, the meat has limited fat and the soup is simply great.

We arrived as they were closing but we were allowed in and helped with ordering. They new no English but that didn’t matter. Ramen was delicious, not too salty and the gyoza soft and tasty with a subtle soy dressing and a touch of spring onion.

Friendly and helpful, this small ramen shop is consistently delicious and hearty. The three soup bases are standards- salt, soy, and miso. There are translations on most items on the machine to help the kanji impaired like myself. Not large enough for groups over 6 people, but has enough space to comfortably sit a groups of 4, and is secluded enough to be perfect for a group of 2. I've never felt rushed when I'm in there, and the toys on the shelf are a draw for my 4 year old son. The music is gentle and soft so we can carry on a conversation and enjoy the time together. Love this hideout we've found, just a 5 minute walk south from Mitaka station.

Tsukemen 850 yen. A ramen shop in Mitaka loved for many years, known for its Japanese-style dashi broth. The soy sauce-based dipping broth offers a gentle flavor where the umami of seafood gradually spreads. The slippery noodles that go down smoothly have just the right amount of firmness, clinging well to the soup so you won't be able to stop using your chopsticks. Tender and thick, the savory chashu is very satisfying to eat. To finish off, soup-wari (diluting the remaining dipping broth) at the end. The seafood flavor stands out even more, and I enjoyed it deliciously down to the last drop.
