A single cup of coffee heals both body and mind. The master is very kind and polite, and first had me taste-test three kinds of coffee. I was surprised by how completely different their tastes were. When I went a second time, he remembered the coffee I drank previously, which was very touching. The Japanese ceramic cups and saucers are also beautiful, allowing you to enjoy both the coffee and the vessels together (mostly Arita ware). "I brew coffee tailored to each customer," the master calmly stated. His thoroughness extends to checking every single coffee bean with his own eyes. This is a must-visit shop for anyone wanting to taste professional, meticulous coffee. ※This shop is exclusively for solo customers.
View on Google■Visited during the 1:00 PM hour on a Saturday. No other customers at first. People regularly came in to buy coffee beans. ■Blend No. 4. 500 yen. This shop only serves coffee, specifically black coffee. Among them, No. 4 is described as clean and mild. Drinking it, I noticed bitterness, but the aftertaste left a clean impression. The interior and BGM are calm, making it a good place to spend coffee time while reading or thinking. Coffee beans are sold starting from the 500 yen range per 100g, which is reasonable compared to other specialty coffee shops. I think it's a good idea to drink in-store and buy what you like. One slightly disappointing thing was noticing rather loud conversations between the staff members. As shown in other people's review photos, the basic recommendation is for solo customers, and there are notices asking customers to refrain from chatting. It would be amazing if they could also consider how to make it easier for solo visitors to spend time comfortably.
View on GoogleI loved the old workshop-like shop, but it has been renewed into a wonderful space. You can enjoy mellow, delicious coffee while admiring the beautiful Genemon cups ☕️. There are two types of blends. You can also choose single origin. A shop exclusively for solo customers. A precious place where you can leisurely enjoy the aroma and taste of coffee 🥰. Takeout is also available
View on GoogleIt drifts with a unique atmosphere, almost like a movie set. Today it ended up not happening, but it's a coffee bean shop I'm curious about. It used to do cafe service too, perhaps because of COVID's impact. Two long-standing shops stand firmly in Mitaka. An antique shop is adjacent ↓ It seems to have been rebuilt into a modern structure. I infer it was last year. Unlike its old appearance, it now looks like a corner of Kyoto. It was a wonderful coffee shop whose dedication hasn't changed.
View on GoogleLiving nearby for nearly 25 years, I dropped by for the first time. The interior looks like a movie set. Although the tables are large, the individual seating feels spacious like private booths, making it an interior where solo visitors can feel at ease. The coffee is brewed carefully by hand drip at just the right temperature. It's a shop where I wish I had come sooner.
