Originally caught this spot on solitary gourmet. Sadly due to COVID, the food displayed on the countertop wasn’t available like on the show, but fortunately the home cooked vibes and friendly atmosphere still remained. When I went, there was only one woman cooking in the kitchen who was also taking everyone’s orders. I ordered chicken katsu only to find a few minutes later that she didn’t have enough chicken katsu for one whole meal so I ordered the ebi fry. When my meal came, there were 2 big pieces of ebi fry and an almost complete order of chicken katsu, which she added free of charge. Very grateful for the hospitable generosity and delicious food.

I had lunch at this restaurant, which also appeared on 孤独のグルメ. After debating whether to get something fried, I ordered the ミックススタミナ定食(1000円). Besides the main dish, the set included mapo tofu, curry, pickles, rice, and miso soup, so it was very filling! The taste was homey, just like Mom's cooking. The restaurant is quiet too, making it a very comfortable place to spend time. I'll be back.

This isn't the sort of place you visit as a tourist; it feels like somewhere regulars come almost every night to eat the ladies' home cooking. I had the 三品定食. It's not suited to people seeking cheerful, polite service or a sense of cleanliness, but if I lived nearby and didn't cook for myself, I could see myself eating here every night.
