One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve had so far in Tokyo. Maybe my top 3. The chef here is legit. Every dish was fantastic. Their xiao long bao was better than din tai fung. I can easily come here every week to eat. They also have a small private room on the side for about 6-8, which is nice.

View on GoogleLunch visit. Weekday limited "Torafang Lunch Gozen". Main dish choice with 3 types of today's small dishes, soup, salad, and rice. Tax included 1,980 yen. Today's main dish (choose from the following): Pork belly stewed in a clay pot, Stir-fried vermicelli and vegetables with soy sauce, Flounder with sansho oil, Spring cabbage stir-fry (Hoikoro), Fried noodles with starchy sauce, Rich egg yolk stir-fry with tofu and shrimp, Five-ingredient fried rice, Soy sauce ramen. Everything looks delicious, but I watched "fried noodles" on TV last night. So I chose fried noodles with starchy sauce, and rice was not included (is this double carbohydrates?). Rather than stir-fried noodles, I "prefer fried noodles with starchy sauce". Although the sauce is a bit loose, it's an acceptable level. Shrimp, squid, pork, bamboo shoots, bok choy, green peppers, Chinese cabbage, etc. confirmed, the ingredients are not bad. Overall the seasoning is gentle, it felt standard. 3 types of small dishes: Stir-fried pork and green peppers, steamed chicken, fried shishamo. The soup is better than I thought, I like the acidity, maybe tomato. The salad uses red radish, quite good. Other menus must be delicious too, next time I will go with my wife.
View on GoogleEvery dish is delicious! You can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine starting with mapo tofu! When the season comes, I want to eat stir-fried water spinach again!

Since it looked very appetizing for rice, I asked the staff about rice refills and they said it was free. As I ate with peace of mind, it was spicy, thick, and really made the rice taste good. While thinking it was good that refills were free, I ate 3 bowls of rice. The mapo tofu was quite a lot, so honestly I hesitated whether to refill rice again. The side dishes and soup were also delicious, a satisfying lunch.
