Hiro Okonomiyaki is located in Mitaka, right beside the Senkawa River and close to the Shinkawa Dori bus stop. The first reason I decided to try this restaurant was because of the amazing smell that always caught my attention when walking home. For a long time, I hesitated because the restaurant is very small, looks very traditional, and I was a bit intimidated as a non-Japanese speaker. However, when I finally visited, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very homey, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. The owner even offers a live cooking show for customers, preparing the food right in front of you. Despite my limited Japanese, she spoke very kindly and made me feel very comfortable. The restaurant accepts both PayPay and cash payments. I ordered both yakisoba and okonomiyaki. Both dishes were beyond my expectations! The okonomiyaki was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and soft inside—with a rich, savory flavor. The yakisoba was also delicious. Although the portions were not very large, the quality and taste made me feel very satisfied. This cozy place is a true hidden gem in Mitaka, and I definitely hope to come back again when I have the chance.

It's delicious and the female owner has a great personality, so it's a shop I love✨️ I visit for lunch with my son every time, feeling like I'm returning to my parents' home. We always eat one beef tendon stew each, and share 2 okonomiyaki (large) between the two of us until we're stuffed w The price isn't high either, and I'm grateful it's in the neighborhood🙏

A shop run by a grandma who came to Tokyo from Osaka 10 years ago. Good taste & good vibes! No doubt you'll get hooked on this shop✌ Since they grill and serve it for you, don't come if you're the type who wants to grill it yourself (lol) Weekday lunch is incredibly good value🤣 Okonomiyaki Salad & side dish Onigiri or white rice Miso soup ↑It comes with all this for 750 yen including tax!! *It seems the quantity is limited, so consider yourself lucky if it's available. The auntie's efficiency and friendliness are great, and the prices are cheap and delicious. Counter seats are the best seats where you can watch the delicious-looking menu items being grilled one after another on the iron plate right in front of you. I'm also happy that smoking is allowed. Takeout is also available, so relaxing at home is also an option.
