They have several homemade cakes using eggs from Mitaka, but this time I had the shortcake. Depending on the season, they offer strawberry, peach, or muscat, and apparently it's peach right now. I really enjoyed the shortcake. The coffee is delicious too. Regular customers kept coming and going, and everyone was having the daily lunch. I've moved nearby, so I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleA small coffee shop about a 3–4-minute walk from the south exit of Mitaka Station. It has a slightly retro Showa-era atmosphere, with a counter and 4 tables seating 4 inside. It struck me as a calm, old-fashioned coffee shop. When I visited, 3 tables were occupied, including by people who seemed to be regulars, and the motherly woman running the place looked busy, perhaps handling it alone. I was a little surprised that they also seemed to deliver orders nearby. Besides coffee, there were cakes, vanilla ice cream, and pilaf. This time I had a blended coffee and cake. The simple cake had a homemade feel and was delicious in a somehow nostalgic way. Not many people were smoking, but smoking seemed to be allowed.
View on GoogleAn old-fashioned-feeling cafe open until 20:00. It's close to Mitaka Station, but perhaps because it's away from the busy area, it was quiet when I went in. There are lots of homemade items, and tea is served in a pot, showing the charms of an independently run place.☺️ The atmosphere is relaxing too, with violin-style music playing. Pumpkin cake set 780円 It was delicious! Next time I'd like to come for a meal too.

View on GoogleA coffee shop that allows smoking, a rarity these days. It has a Showa-era atmosphere and is very comfortable for people who prefer a traditional “coffee shop” to a “cafe.” The cakes are simple and delicious, and I end up lingering.
