Affordable, authentic Chinese food that I always end up going back for. The malatang and other dishes have genuinely authentic flavors from back home. They aren’t adapted to Japanese tastes. Lunch Daily noodles 800円 Daily set meal 900円 Various others 900〜1000円 An unbelievably affordable lineup Surprisingly, the fried rice included with the set meal comes with one free refill! I’ve never been at night, but even Chinese people come here to eat, so the flavors must be reliable. The authentic flavors are good, though I wish they’d put a little more effort into the noodles themselves. Still, I’m not going to complain at this price. I keep coming back with appreciation. Be careful if you can’t handle spicy food! The heat here is authentically spicy too.

The noodles were over-softened and tasted bad. For lunch, I recommend the set meals. Considering the location, I’m grateful you can have lunch for around 1000円. Fried rice and plain rice can be refilled only once.

A long, long time ago, I also used to visit this restaurant occasionally for dinner. Could it have been about 20 years already? That means it’s been going that long. Impressive. Today was my first time? coming for lunch. Most menu items are 900円. The price is good👍️ Now, how does it taste? Hmm~~not quite convincing; ordinary, but not particularly tasty. That’s the impression. I ordered the sweet and sour pork set, but the thick sauce wasn’t great: too little and weak in flavor. I’d thought sweet and sour pork was something whose sweet-sour sauce makes you want more rice. Today it’s the 回鍋肉 set. Again, relatively mild seasoning. There isn’t much of the thick sauce, or sauce, that I picture as being full of 甜麺醤 and greasy oil. Noodles today. Beef noodle set The beef has spices with that distinctive Chinese cooking aroma, there are stir-fried vegetables on top too, and it looks like about two circles of red chili oil were drizzled over it. Just mildly spicy. The noodles are slightly thin and straight, with a nostalgic feel like a late-night street stall. I tried taking slightly larger photos of the menu. Today, the shrimp in chili sauce set. The chili sauce is sweet, but also has a sharp chili kick mixed in. Whether to bulk it up or as an extra, shredded cabbage is laid under the shrimp in chili sauce. The set already comes with shredded cabbage, so it isn’t needed here. Today, seafood yakisoba. I’d imagined a white, salt-flavored thick sauce on my own, but what arrived had a soy sauce-based color. Checking the menu, that was indeed right. You shouldn’t make assumptions. Today, steamed chicken noodles. I thought it would be a paitan-style soup, but only the thick sauce was white. The soup was soy sauce-based. It was quite busy today, so perhaps there was a long wait before serving? The noodles were stuck together and already starting to go soft? They use thin noodles here, so they soften easily. Today, shrimp fried rice. Mild flavor again. I ended up adding pepper and soy sauce. There’s no salt on the table. Today, Shanghai yakisoba. Isn’t this just ordinary yakisoba? When I googled it, it said thicker noodles seasoned with soy sauce and oyster sauce. The seasoning might be that, but the noodles are completely ordinary. About the same as まるちゃん’s 3-serving yakisoba packs. The tomato soup had a pleasantly balanced acidity and was delicious. Today, kakuni noodles. Quite different from the menu photo. Fairly ordinary. Today, the daily set meal. Sichuan-style stir-fried chicken and tofu noodles. A little spicy. Today, the stewed beef belly set. A little different from the menu photo. Bulked up with vegetables? Still, it works in its own way. A little chili heat and mildly spicy. Today, the stir-fried beef and garlic shoots set. The crunch of the garlic shoots is pleasant. I can’t taste the beef, which is disappointing. Today, the daily set meal. Both have only a tiny amount of meat; the daily specials feel like they’re often misses. Today, stir-fried shrimp and egg. Quite salty for this restaurant. Or so I thought, but it seemed not to be mixed thoroughly. Some parts were strongly seasoned and others weren’t. The egg was piping hot, fluffy, and tasty. Almost gone through a full round: chicken soba, sweet and sour pork Moving on to cold noodles. A little more expensive than the other menu items, but satisfying in both flavor and quantity. The mapo-style menu items I’d been avoiding. I don’t dislike spicy food, but my stomach doesn’t handle it well. Mild heat is fine, but if it’s a little spicy, I get loose stools. This has a slightly numbing heat, so what will happen? Today, stir-fried garlic chives and liver I feel like I’ve had it once, but there’s no mention in my comments, so maybe it’s my first time. A standard menu item, though. The liver comes in the usual thin triangular slices, tender and without an unpleasant strong taste. The seasoning is stronger than on the other menu items. This is tasty too. Lunch is cash only. At dinner, it seems credit cards and code payments are accepted. Since my photos reached the limit of 50, I deleted the close-up photos of individual menu items.
