It was my last dinner in Tokyo of this 7 day trip. I was not hungry and was looking for something different. I almost skipped the place but decided to go in. It was the right decision. The place is cozy, the service is great and it was the best eel I have ever had. I would just move to Tokyo for this restaurant alone. Thanks for the great service.
View on GoogleThere are many eel place in Toranomonn and this is my first try. The sauce was a bit less sweet :/
View on GoogleThe best unagi in the entire Japan😍 everyone must try!
View on GoogleAn eel restaurant in Nishi-Shimbashi that strongly retains an old-fashioned atmosphere. I ordered the unaju for 4,100円. The eel is slowly grilled over charcoal after ordering, steamed just right, and goes well with the rice, sauce, and sansho pepper.
View on GoogleA historic restaurant quietly tucked away in a nostalgic back alley, despite being in Tokyo amid ongoing redevelopment. The lightly steamed eel retains just the right bite, and the sauce has a robust flavor with a distinct soy sauce character. Fragrant, deeply flavorful, and beautifully grilled, it is unquestionably a highly accomplished unaju overall. However, it was a shame that the rice wasn't a little firmer, which I think would have made everything come together better, and that the sauce tasted strongly salty in some spots. ※Cash payments only
