Good food but very expensive. seating fee 2200 is crazy. Smoll smoll food orered and total 9000+. Is this a michilin? No.
View on GoogleTwo of us visited, but in addition to a seating charge of 2,400円, we were charged a 10% service fee. It’s quite expensive for an udon shop, and considering the food, the value is very poor. The staff were also unfriendly, so we couldn’t enjoy our meal comfortably. Neither the prices nor the service were satisfactory, and we won’t return.
View on GoogleI dropped in without a reservation around 21:30!! It’s in a back alley in Nogizaka and looked very intimidating to enter, but I got in! Thank you😢 I went wanting udon to finish the evening, but all the other dishes looked delicious, too,,! I ordered おでん with 鴨つくね and とまと, かしわうどん, and 九条ねぎうどん. Everything had a strong dashi flavor and a gentle taste. The udon broth really had plenty of dashi and little salt, so I drank it all. The sansho seasoning? was nice, too. I want to come hungrier and make it my first stop! Thank you m(_ _)m
View on GoogleI’ve been 2 times. It’s a little outside central Roppongi. A counter-only shop with a somewhat hideaway-like atmosphere. Every dish has a gentle flavor that makes you feel warm inside as you eat. My body especially craves it after a run of oily meals.
View on GoogleIf you want Kyoto-style kappo in 東京, 侘助 is the restaurant I recommend most. I've been going there for a long time, and they serve seasonal dishes throughout the year. For your first drink, I recommend a highball. Maybe it's the ice and soda, but their highballs feel a level above the ones I have elsewhere. Once the carbonation has left your mouth clean and refreshed, the second drink has to be sake. 澤屋 まつもと would be a good choice. It's a lovely pairing that doesn't get in the way of the dishes served at 侘助. The menu item I always eat is 赤こんにゃく. It's a specialty of 滋賀県, but also an absolute staple of Kyoto cuisine. After that, order as much of the obanzai on the counter as you like!
