an absolute must visit. truly speechless about our entire experience here! we stumbled across the sign on a walk back to our hotel, and thank god we did! one of the most thoughtful, delicious and special meals i’ve had in all of my travels. we had the savouring course, and every single bite was fabulous. such a perfect, simple, wonderfully executed menu. bursting with flavour all throughout. the service was impeccable and the ambiance was lovely. total came to just over ¥25,000, including 4 drinks, which is incredible value for the quality of the meal and service. we will be back ASAP!

Had the omakase with beef and tuna outside of just the assorted cuts of pork. First time having Tonkatsu in this style and I had an amazing meal. The chef and the staff were super friendly and my rudimentary level of Japanese was not an issue at all and in-fact I had a great time talking with them during my meal. One of the best meals I've had on my 7 visits to Tokyo. Highly recommended.

Wow! I think that’s the best way to describe this place. From the lovely & friendly servers and chef to the delicious food. We ordered the tonkatsu set meal, one fillet and one loin and it has been by far our favourite meal of the whole trip. The pork was cooked to perfection, and we felt super welcome and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough. 👌🏽✨

A rising star in the world of tonkatsu, and surprisingly easy to book compared to other popular spots. The space consists of one table and a counter, making it equally comfortable for solo diners or small groups. Even before looking at the menu, you can already feel how seriously they approach tonkatsu from the detailed explanation they provide. This day I ordered: Special Loin Set – Saitama Mibuton ¥4,100 Menchi-katsu (Kobe beef × branded pork) ¥700 They serve dashi soy sauce, wasabi, karashi, and a paprika sauce, and the tonkatsu sauce arrives piping hot right at the moment the cutlet is served. The pork is fried using a two-step process—first lightly, then again at a higher temperature in a different oil. This results in a crisp coating and a wonderfully springy, juicy texture inside. Even with the fattier portions of the loin, the after-feel is incredibly light, making it surprisingly easy to eat. A truly high-level tonkatsu—one you can easily become addicted to. They even offer a Maguro-katsu made with Yamayuki tuna, which I definitely want to try next time.

You cannot eat other tonkatsu once you have tried this place! A Cut Above: Tonkatsu KOKOMADEYARUKA Delivers Pork Perfection Tonkatsu KOKOMADEYARUKA isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a culinary shrine dedicated to the art of tonkatsu, and it delivers an unforgettable experience from the very first bite. At the heart of their magic is the Hokkaido pork, a masterpiece of flavor and texture that elevates this humble dish into something transcendent. The moment your cutlet arrives, golden and perfectly crisp, you know you’re in for something special. The panko coating is light yet audibly crunchy, enveloping a slab of pork so tender it nearly melts in your mouth. This isn’t your average pork—it’s sourced from Hokkaido, renowned for its pristine air, pure water, and high-quality feed, all of which contribute to the meat’s rich marbling and natural sweetness. Each bite strikes the perfect balance: the savory umami of the pork, the buttery crisp of the crust, and the gentle tang of the house-made tonkatsu sauce. Even the rice and cabbage are elevated—fluffy, fragrant, and thoughtfully plated. It’s clear every element of the meal has been chosen with care and reverence for the ingredients. KOKOMADEYARUKA doesn’t just serve tonkatsu—it celebrates it. Whether you’re a long-time lover of Japanese comfort food or a curious newcomer, this is the place where pork dreams come true. Don’t miss it.
