Good bentos for a decent price, lunch time saver!

Nice food

A neighborhood Chinese restaurant offering good value, but unsuitable for people who dislike smoke. I happened upon it at lunchtime on a weekday and went in because I was short on time. The cigarette smell was so strong I noticed it immediately upon entering, but I put up with it because I didn't have time. The takana noodles and half fried rice the person next to me was eating caught my eye, so I ordered right away. Perhaps because others had ordered it too, it arrived without much of a wait. The takana noodles were a little salty, but the medium-thick Chinese noodles were reliable. The fried rice wasn't remarkable enough to warrant particular comment either, but for this price and portion in a prime Tokyo location, I suppose it's acceptable. The place was full of smokers who liked Major League Baseball, while I just slurped my noodles, shoveled down the half fried rice, and left immediately. It's such a Showa-era neighborhood Chinese restaurant that I worried about cigarette smells clinging to my body and clothes. As a nonsmoker, I can't rate it very highly, but if you're seeking value with a 1,000円 lunch in a prime Tokyo location, it's not a bad option. Still, I don't plan to return.
