This was a great place to taste a variety of Japanese dishes (mostly seafood based) at a higher quality than most restaurants around the Tokyo area. The staff were courteous and the atmosphere at the counter was great (seeing many of the dishes prepared in front of you is something I enjoy). There wasn't a dissapointing dish to be had during our visit, and the end menu item (soba) can be enjoyed in one of four varieties. Considering many other restaurants we've eaten at with a similar price point, we found this one to be one of our favorites.
View on GoogleThe format is washoku but not necessarily the "typical" kaiseki progression of zensai-hassun-owan-yakimono-etc. A lot of seafood items are served alongside seasonal vegetables, showcasing a variety of cooking techniques. The meal closes with excellent housemade soba, of which there are four options to choose from (and a second can be ordered if you're still hungry). They do staggered seatings so the atmosphere is more casual and lively, but the food is really great. They also have English speaking staff.

View on Google【Amazing is an understatement】 If I had to put it in one phrase, amazing is an understatement. That says it all. The taste in tableware, the carefully selected ingredients, the colors that delight the eye, and, most importantly, the flavor. Every bit of it was truly wonderful. The chef's dedication comes through at every turn, yet never feels overbearing, and that exquisite balance is comforting. Above all, the chef's warmly embracing personality and service were wonderful, allowing me to relax and have the best time from beginning to end. After savoring a refined 5-dish course, we could actually order Western-style drinking snacks à la carte. That change of pace is another lovely touch. And the soba at the end was so delicious it could rival a specialist restaurant, leaving me amazed. The taste, space, and hospitality were all thoroughly satisfying. I'll definitely return with someone dear to me.
View on GoogleChoosing à la carte dishes after the course is a blissful moment On top of the 2万円 course, drinks+à la carte brought it to around 40,000円 per person Every single plate is so beautiful and polished that you can't help thinking, "It's too lovely to eat" Refined washoku with gentle flavors and a clear sense of the dashi's umami They suggest sake to match the dishes, and finding yourself drinking a little too much is part of this restaurant's charm You can enjoy a leisurely meal while savoring the pairings The finishing soba was also memorable It had a clean bite and firm springiness, a texture unlike any I'd had before—a dish that stays with you The course alone is highly satisfying, but this restaurant's true worth comes through when you enjoy the à la carte too
