We made a reservation and didn’t have any difficulties at all. Servers spoke English, and were all friendly and nice. The place was packed and understandably so, everything about this place was like being at a restaurant back home. Food did take a hot minute after ordering though, so I’m glad they served our loaded chips first. Chicken was hot, seasoned well and juicy. Also was a fan of the grits and fish, the mashed potatoes were heavenly and the corn bread was good. Only complaint was the breading on the chicken fried steak wasn’t as great as we would have liked it to be, but it was ok. Mac and cheese was just not my style, I like mine saucy but these were on the thicker side and were a bit dry. Prices were on the higher side, but would visit again.

Though I'm from the US, I haven't had much soul food before, so I thought I'd give it a try in Tokyo! We came in at 1:30, and their last order is taken at 1:45, although they close at 3PM. I ordered the fried catfish sandwich while my friend got her favorite, the chicken and waffles! I tried some too :) I loved the fries!!!! Probably my favorite part. Best fries I've had in Japan. The sandwich was also very yummy. It was crispy with a mild flavor. We waited about 25(?) mins for our food because it's cooked fresh! We got so excited the stronger the heavenly frying waffle scent wafted from the kitchen! I liked the chicken and waffles individually. The waffles were just as tasty as they smelled. I'd come again for special occasions since it's an hour away from me! I visited this time because it's my friend's favorite restaurant. The price is high for Japanese fare (~1400-2100¥ with the tax that's added at the end) but perfectly normal or good if you think about it in terms of American price lol ($9-13). Cash only.

I brought a few friends to Soul Food House and left really satisfied. Every dish we tried was a hit, and the meal felt enjoyable from start to finish. The only downside was that the servers seemed caught up in conversation, so it took a bit of effort to get their attention, but the food more than made up for it.

Small venue... MAKE A RESERVATION but if not... You can still Get a table. Sauteed Greenbeans are delicious!!! Mini Catfish and Fries Greens Mac&Cheese Sweet Tea and Peach Cobbler Moonshine There is also a lounge upstairs, Legacy Lounge... This was fun, delicious and great service! I'm excited it was packed and more than happy to support. A little taste of home... all the way in Japan!

It was my first time trying soul food and I had high hopes because of all the positive reviews and they don’t have any where I’m from in the pacific. The food was just alright. We waited a good 20 minutes before we were able to place our orders and waited another 40 minutes before we got our food. Their were a couple groups of people who came after us who got their orders taken and their food before we did which was pretty interesting to me. When we did receive our food it wasn’t hot, rather it was almost cool. We had gotten the blackened chicken wrap, hot chicken burger, a side Mac n cheese, and the Jambalaya. The Jambalaya was the star of the show & it was very tasty. The mac n cheese was pretty underwhelming. Personally for the price it wasn’t worth it. I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere, it was nice. The employees were friendly and I enjoy hearing the laughter and feeling the good vibes.
