SITAARA Aoyama
Our restaurant serves dishes made with meticulously selected ingredients, following the concept that food and medicine share the same source, based on Indian Ayurveda. We offer various delicious Indian breads, including those made with whole-wheat flour, pie-like breads using plenty of ghee, and breads as thin as a handkerchief. Our 「tandoori chicken」, which we pride ourselves on for its perfect grilling and fragrant spices, is a dish we highly encourage you to order. We were drawn in by the scent and had lunch here. The entrance was a bit narrow and there was a queue but we were able to get a table. The interior looks bright & modern, some tables were apart from others but the one we got was a tad too close to others so they were able to hear our conversation despite barely whispering to each other. The dishes we got (biryani set & chicken plate) tasted great, arrived promptly and were of great value. The service & staff was great, they were even selling home made sweets (curry chocolate) that we tried out which ended up tasting interestingly good.
View on GoogleDecent Indian restaurant, located in Omotesando/Aoyama. Fancy old school elegant decor in a basement, which felt a little out of place. Food mostly tasty, but on the expensive side, probably because of the location. Service muted, not bad, but not warm and welcoming.
View on GoogleI had a lunch meeting (Omotesando shop) and it was super. I ordered the tandoori chicken special and the Spivey chicken curry on the side was very nice, too. The naan was a bit greasy but still lovely. Highly recommend. Ps- make reservations in advance since it gets full, quickly.
View on GoogleThe taste is mild and not indian like. Overall service is excellence.
View on GoogleIt was a quiet night with less than ten people. But they made me wait twenty minutes after arriving, without coming to take my drink order or offering me any water on such a hot day. I left after twenty minutes and won't go back again.
