真味源酒家 is a Chinese restaurant offering a wide range of authentic Chinese cuisine. Our mapo tofu, refined over many years, is available in a series with different flavors and levels of spiciness and is one of our signature recommendations. We also focus on dishes that bring out the natural character of their ingredients, including seasonal vegetable stir-fries and individual dishes. Each dish is carefully finished, valuing depth of flavor through the experience and skills we have accumulated.

(May 2026) A Chinese restaurant about a 6-minute walk from Mita Station. Visited for lunch on a weekday. The shop promotes its clay-pot mapo. There are 10 varieties, including regular, cheese, and curry. Arrived around 12:20 and got in without waiting. Ordered half a portion of clay-pot mapo curry noodles+half a portion of golden fried rice (1180円). ----- 【Half a portion of clay-pot mapo curry noodles+half a portion of golden fried rice (1180円)】 Served about 5 minutes after ordering. It's heated piping hot in a clay pot, so be careful not to burn yourself. Let's dig in. The mapo tofu is relatively mild, or rather low in spiciness with little numbing sensation, seemingly designed to appeal to everyone. The curry isn't that strong either, so surprisingly, it may not pack as much punch as it looks. Although it's a half portion, there's plenty of tofu and the noodles are thick, making it quite substantial. The golden fried rice is simple fried rice with only egg. I suspect it was fried in advance (rather than for each order). On its own it's bland, so pairing it with the mapo, as intended by the set, is the way to go. ----- Thank you for the meal.

They changed the shop's name at the start of the year But only changed the outer skin. Apart from some of the menu Nothing inside has changed. Prices have gone up and portions have clearly shrunk. For reference, please see the photos of the same menu item and dish from last year and this year. The plate size is the same. Update: the yurinchi I had later was crispy and paired well with the vinegary sauce. It was delicious.

First visit for lunch with a senior colleague. Lots of menu options. The woman, probably from the cuisine's home country, was surprisingly friendly. Ordered cold black sesame tantanmen with half a portion of fried rice. The noodles were surprisingly generous. The half portion of fried rice was well seasoned too, just to my taste. There are so many menu options that I'd like to come again.

The shop has changed. The flavor, menu, and cook have changed, and it's become reasonably priced and 【delicious】. Lunch is affordable and tasty, and dinner for two is around 4.000-. The mapo tofu is very delicious, and unusually for a shop run by Chinese people, the white rice is delicious too. My favorites are the mapo tofu and gomoku tanmen. Above all, I'm surprised by how good the white rice is. If you work nearby, please try a bento or lunch! The rice is delicious! Update 2026/3/4: The white rice in the lunchtime bentos was delicious too, so I went to buy them day after day. I've already been four times at night! It's affordable and delicious for this area. If you're going to the malatang place opposite, this one is definitely better!

Visited for lunch. Almost all the lunch menu items are within 1000円, and the generous amount of food is satisfying even for men. The flavors are very much authentic mainland Chinese, but I enjoyed it. 😋
