Tokyo・Nogizaka・Sakurauta Uchida . . On a friend's recommendation, my first visit to a place where you can enjoy delicious horse meat to your heart's content‼️ . . They have à la carte too, but I was told omakase is best for fully enjoying it on a first visit; the omakase course starts at 15000 yen⤴️ . . The place has a counter, plus 8 table seats in the back that can become a private room by lowering a partition‼️ . . We visited as a family that day, so we used the back table seats as a private room✨ . . As you'd expect from a place run by relatives of a famous Kumamoto restaurant, the freshness, of course, and the variety are insane😵 . . On the horse sashimi platter, there were more cuts I'd never seen before than ones I had (lol) . . Everything was delicious❣️ . . The horse meat shabu-shabu is quite filling⤴️ . . But the fat isn't heavy at all, so you get the illusion you could eat it forever‼️ . . The horse meat hiyayakko and tategami yukhoe in between were nice accents too, a well-put-together course✨ . . The finishing horse meat ramen has a slight sweetness and rich umami, an addictive taste—even though I was full, I couldn't stop…🍜 . . It was my first time enjoying horse meat this much, and it made me realize how great horse meat is😊

Came for a weekday lunch. The 800-yen smoked horse meat rice bowl caught my eye, so I ordered it. I expected it to smell smoky, so I took a sniff, but there was almost no aroma. The meat was cold and tough. Kind of jerky-like, too. I'd raised the bar on my own by assuming they smoked raw horse meat to give it aroma. Eating it, it was like, “Oh, that's it.” Toward the end, the heat from the rice softened the meat, and juicy meat juices? horse fat? came out, and it was delicious. I wish I could've eaten it like that from the start…

・A small place with 4–5 counter seats and 2 tables ・The lunch horse sashimi bowl comes topped with several different cuts. You can easily enjoy white tategami and marbled red meat ・The horse-meat soup has a flavor different from both tonjiru and miso soup, interesting ・Sakura natto (chopped meat mixed with natto) also pairs well and is interesting Added 2018/7 ・They seem to be actively experimenting with the lunch menu ・Prices have gone up so I can't go as often as before, but it's a place I crave every now and then
