FOREIGNERS BEWARE: ENGLISH MENU IS MORE EXPENSIVE WHICH IS ILLEGAL (!!!) I went here for dinner with a friend tonight and I speak Japanese, but I just didn't want to read japanese tonight, so I was Google translating the menu, they give me an English menu, and I notice the prices are 200-600¥ more expensive per item (the drink menu as well) When I point this out to the server, he acts surprised like he didn't know and I ask to use the Japanese prices. When it's time to check out, I overhear the server and the cook discussing how much to charge us, and the bill ends up being about 900 yen more than it should be. I bring out the calculator and show that it didn't add up The cook said we didn't factor in tax (tax is applied to the dishes in the menu so this is a scam as well, but I couldn't prove it in the moment) Even after adding the tax, it was still about 600¥ more expensive, and I show this to the cook. He argues with me on the prices and I tell him that's wrong, then perform the calculation on his calculator right before his eyes. He finally concedes and gives us the "correct" price (keep in mind we're still getting scammed on tax), and ends up charging my friend 50¥ more anyway. I will be calling tomorrow to report this, but do not come to this restaurant if you do not speak Japanese fluently or look like a foreigner

Simple but delicious Japanese Bento, hot pot, rice bowl and pasta. Have good variety on the bentonite set including Fried chicken, sashimi, curry chicken, fried egg, rice, fried fish.... nice. Oyster hot pot yakitori bowl, stew beef tendon are also recommended... kudo

My favourite local lunch place. The daily set is around 700 yen (usually mixed fry) is a favourite, especially the savoury menchi katsu. The beef tendon stew set is so soft and flavourful. This restaurant is delicious and excellent value, with reasonable portion sizes. Chicken nanban not my favourite however as it is not crispy. We always bring our friends here. English menu available. It can get busy at lunch. Downstairs smoking area.

Delicious shabu shabu and fresh seafood, very homely atmosphere. And the service was excellent!

Delicious, good service and very cosy atmosphere. Glad I bumped into this place by chance
