I finally checked out Roppongi Udon and grabbed a counter seat in their minimal, hyper-efficient space. The restaurant is brightly lit, which is actually great for food photography. The kitchen crew rolls and cuts the noodles fresh before serving, giving them an incredibly delicious, signature "mochi-mochi" springy bite. I ordered the tenzaru cold udon, which came with large, crispy fried shrimp tempura that beautifully complemented the refreshing cold noodles and savory, chilled tsuyu sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the price is definitely right for the taste. I am completely satisfied with the experience! Bowls sit right between ¥1,000 to ¥2,000, which is an absolute steal for this neighborhood.
View on GoogleI’m usually not a big udon person because I often find it too slippery and a little difficult to eat, but Roppongi Udon completely changed my mind. The udon here has such a great texture. It’s pleasantly chewy and easy to pick up with chopsticks, which made it so much more enjoyable for me. The staff were also incredibly kind, welcoming, and made the ordering process feel easy and fun. Honestly, this was the best udon I’ve had in my 3 years of living in Japan. I would definitely come back again!
View on GoogleMay 11, 2026 I had carbonara udon that was chewy and full of flavor, the signature dish of this restaurant. My friend had a classic udon with karaage and was just as satisfied. The whole atmosphere was sleek and modern, comfortable for a friendly hangout. Service was smooth and prompt and I had a leisurely dinner. I saw both tourists and locals steadily coming in at 7pm on a Monday, but never too crowded. Loved the dining experience here, and the price was reasonable for the flavor and location.
View on GoogleExotic menus such as crown daisy udon, squid ink udon, carbonara udon, clam udon, natto udon, and hot common udon, cold udon, kamatama udon, and you can choose from additional vegetables, shrimp, and meat toppings. Employees are very kind,so you can ask for the recommendations. The drinks are beer, chuhai, highball, and soft drinks. I ordered curry udon and it tasted very strong. The dishes and noodles were very hot, so I ate them carefully and slowly. I wore white clothes and an apron was also prepared, so I could eat with no worries😊 It had beef in it, but it was so tall that I cut it into chopsticks and tasted it. If you like curry, you’ll be able to enjoy it very much if you choose this menu.
View on GoogleDelicious udon with very bouncy texture! Made daily in the restaurant in the afternoon. The tempura toppings were fried to perfection, very satisfying! The egg yolk topping uses branded egg "Ranou" which has deep rich colour and flavour. We picked cold version which made the udon extra bouncy🥰. You can also request for extra ginger, spring onion and agetama(fried crunchy bits) topping for free. Great for casual eat, solo and group, family friendly!
