The meat was good and tasty and well seasoned - a pleasant surprise after reading the mediocre reviews. However the salad buffet section was kind of a letdown. I know most of us are not there to eat the salad and fried foods or even the desserts, but most of the items were gone by 7:30 pm and we were the last customers to enter… so they felt zero need to refill some of the items. Very disappointing that we couldn’t taste some of them. Also the system is strange, after one hour they stop bringing meat to your table. You have 30 minutes to order the meat that you want à la carte style at no extra charge. However those meat weren’t tasty and felt really dry and tough, I suspect they used the leftover meats that weren’t being served during the carving, so they heat up whatever cuts your order.

Amazing experience at Rio Grande Grill Roppongi! The atmosphere is warm, family friendly, and very welcoming. The dancers were fantastic, the food was great, and the service was excellent from the entire team. A special thank you to Kleber and Julio, who took great care of us with outstanding hospitality. Everyone, including the waitstaff, was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!

Exceptional service from Noss! I recently dined at Rio de Grande in Roppongi and had the pleasure of being served by Noss. From the moment we arrived, his warm hospitality and attentive service made our evening truly special. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and checked on us at just the right moments without being intrusive. What really stood out was his genuine enthusiasm and professionalism - you can tell he takes pride in making sure every guest has a memorable experience. The food was delicious, but Noss’s outstanding service elevated our visit from good to exceptional. If you’re visiting Rio de Grande, you’re in great hands with him on your team. Highly recommend this restaurant, and ask for Noss if you can!

We ate dinner at this restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 8 pm. Most of the restaurant was empty with only two big parties. Only one person in my party wanted to purchase the all you can drink package which was 2200 yen (w/o tax). They refused this request. They said everyone at my table needs to purchase the all you can drink plan. How ridiculous! I had 2 kids who are not of drinking age. And one of my kids only wants water. They said i have to purchase 4 drinking package and the kids can drink water and soda at that outrageous price. Drink prices are high at this restaurant and they don’t give you much. They give you lots of ice. Now moving on to food. Most of the meats were average tasting. Some cuts are very tough. After they gave us a sample of about 10 cuts of meat even though they advertised for than 10 cuts, they stop coming to our table. Even though our sign was green meaning more food please, no meat showe up. We were still hungry. All of the servers were busy and hard to get a hold of. Finally after 20 minutes we got a hold of our server, they took our meat request. They also stop replenishing the salad bar since we arrived. Again we arrived at 8 pm and they close at 11 pm. At 9 pm we saw the staff start cleaning up the whole restaurant and wrapping up the roasted meat. Looks like they want to go home early. A couple showed up around 9:30 and we felt bad for them because the salad bar looked empty and pathetic. And they only got leftover meats. This Brazillian restaurant is a huge disappointment. We have eaten at many and we do not recommend this place at all. Slow service, ridiculous rules and false advertising of meats. And its not cheap either. When you come to Japan, eat Japanese food. They don’t do Brazillian food well at all.

The service was excellent and the vibe, as always, was great! I really enjoyed the buffet — such a nice variety of options. However, as a Brazilian, I have to say the beef wasn’t my favorite. The cut was very thick and a bit too raw for my taste.
