Used it for lunch and ordered malatang. First you grab a seat, then put ingredients from the dozens of options at the entrance into a bowl; the price changes based on the weight in grams. This time I went with 758g at spice level 3 (just the right heat to make you sweat). I loaded up on toppings, from seafood like shrimp, squid, and octopus to spam, boiled dumplings, and even xiaolongbao. Plus plenty of vegetables like yuba, lotus root, Japanese yam, white wood ear, water spinach, and napa cabbage — so packed it's hard to believe it's one bowl. The soup's spiciness is perfectly balanced and addictive. Beneath the heat you can clearly taste the essence and umami of each ingredient, so you keep reaching for more. The bouncy sweet potato glass noodles are slippery and chewy and cling perfectly to the soup. The beef tendon noodles are chewy and springy too, quite filling. The seafood like shrimp and fish balls are full of umami, and the yuba and mushrooms soak up the soup, so you get different textures and flavors with every bite. The panda fish cakes were cute and very photogenic. It's fun to freely create your own bowl, and the excitement lasts from choosing to finishing — a malatang specialty shop I recommend in the Tamachi area. Payment is upfront at the counter and they accept paypay.

I really like this place, but the last few times the 粉耗子 were cooked way too soft, completely losing their original springy, chewy texture, even falling apart and losing their shape — such a shame. I hope you can control the cooking a bit, and I'm looking forward to having good 粉耗子 next time🥹🥹 Thanks as always. I've been about 6 times! It suits my taste best around here, and I love that there are so many kinds of ingredients. For spice lovers, I recommend level 4 or higher. But!! Lately the ブンモジャ hasn't been in good shape. They're overboiled with zero chewiness, and they've even lost their shape... falling apart... Please give me back my ブンモジャ... (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`)
