What can I say? Small spots like these are what I love about visiting Japan. I have been to Shinagawa/Takanawa multiple times and I love the quiet neighborhood. I hope that despite the Gateway opening across the street and the increasing tourism wanting more glam, that small spots like this are able to continue to be a beacon to those who value quiet, quick, and efficient dining amongst a bustling city. The sounds of traffic and slurping noodles was like music to my ears. No fuss, full belly, happy customer.

A lovely little noodle shop steps from my hotel. I’m traveling solo for the Tokyo marathon, this place was perfect for a quick diner on a rainy night of my arrival and lunch of carb loading the day before the race. I only wish he’s open on the Saturday night before the race so I can stay off my feet. Small place but fast service and turn over, food was simple but tastes excellent.

A small ramen shop on the roadside. We decided to eat here since it's just a few meters away from our hotel. Ramen was flavorful. The clear broth is simple and tasty. People come and go quickly, the turnover rate is very fast even though only the owner prepares and serves the food.

Absolutely incredible experience! This little ramen shop is a hidden gem tucked away in a corner street of town. The atmosphere is cozy, just a few seats at the counter, which makes it feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home. The ramen itself? Phenomenal. Rich, flavorful broth that’s been simmered to perfection, with noodles that have just the right chew. Every ingredient felt carefully chosen, and you can taste the love and dedication in every bowl. The chef was warm and friendly, the hospitality was top-notch. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for an authentic, soul-warming bowl of ramen in Japan. It’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting memory. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

The best pork ramen I have ever had. Clear broth, bold taste, beautiful presentation and on top of these, a great hospitality from the owner. Unique experience we had so far.
