Absolutely delicious. One of the best Vietnamese 🇻🇳 restaurants in Tokyo. Everything tastes very close to what you would get in Vietnam, with authentic spices, herbs, and sauces throughout the menu. One more thing: the portions are actually three to four times larger than they appear in the photos. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleWent on a Sunday and not worth it at all. There was no waiting. The food was below average in terms of taste specially the pho had no coriander only the stock and no chillis too. Have been to Vietnamese places in Tokyo and this shop’s offering os quite bland and bad. They said red chillis are sold out, quite surprising to hear that in a Vietnamese place. The beef pho as you can see had 3 small thin slice which is priced at 1250yen. Comes with no set option included and not worth at all. Instead of more meat, they put a lot of noodles and nothing else. To earn profit, they gave greenonion stems instead of coriander, wow thats is some business.
View on GoogleHadn't been in a few years. Went for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't busy. I ordered the com tam lunch set; the price was reasonable. Ordered a springroll; the price was unreasonable. Wanted to order a banh mi but they were out of bread. The pork chop was terrible; mostly gristle and very little flavor. The salad didn't taste like it went with the set and it left a weird after taste that stayed with me for the rest of the day. I paid with the card. I won't return.
View on GooglePhuong Nam is a tasty Vietnamese restaurant with a homey atmosphere near Tokyo Midtown. We went one evening, and I had the Vietnamese chicken curry, and we shared a Vietnamese crepe, and some banh cuon. Everything was very good, although the crepe had a little too much sprouts for my taste – but was still tasty. Service was efficient, albeit not super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, although I am not sure I get the 90s vibe that the restaurant is supposedly trying to capture. If you like Vietnamese food, then I highly recommend that you try Phuong Nam.
View on GoogleCute space in the middle of Roppongi. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy, nor finish my pate & Vietnamese sausage banh mi. In front of the restaurant, they advertise ¥100 discount on banh mi which is reflected on their printed lunch menu, but you order via QR code and the discount is not reflected online.
