Well … there is a short back story … we were in Japan for almost a month having all kinds of hiking, cycling, foodie, cultural, adventurous activities including all different kinds of wonderful Japanese cuisine (Michelin stars to street food and everything in between), but there came a point where we just wanted delicious pasts or pizza. We stayed at the Celestine Hotel and came across this wonderful Italian restaurant … so good and so easy … here comes the confession … we ate there on four occasions! We had fabulous service, super hot pasta, a delicious 8 vegetable salad with fresh delicate greens and the dessert was to die for - gelato or their strawberry pastry. We had wonderful service from Akira - he was always there it seemed! Anyway, definitely worth a meal (or two) especially if you are craving some authentic Italian cuisine. PS They had a red wine by the glass - whatever was open - and we enjoyed a glass from the vines of Montepulciano region of Italy. Enjoy and say hello to Akira from the two friends from California!

View on GoogleWe stayed a week at the Celestine Hotel, and by lucky accident discovered Pagliaccio Trattoria within the building. Italian food made with some great Japanese methods. We went several times during our trip. Favorite dish was the seafood risotto, made with several types of wonderful shellfish, big shrimp, and Parmesan. Excellent, with a generous glass of house wine. The waiter and waitress exhibited the full Japanese tradition of professionalism, and to me this is inspiring.
View on GoogleNot bad nor good. Lots of volume for what you pay. Lunch comes with salad bar, bread and drinks (juices) Most meals starting at 1000 yen. Between 1150 and 1230 it's absolutely rammed with people and usually a long line waiting outside. Service was borderline.
View on GoogleWe stayed in The Celestine Hotel in Tokyo in the same building as this wonderful Italian restaurant. We loved it and thought the food was authentically Italian. The salad and the two pasta dishes we ordered were delicious. .
