This place is so special, located in Shinbashi area, one of the most famous “drinking places” in Tokyo. Day time they serve Soba, which is “Akita” style with thick soba noodles. In the evening they change to one of the most crowded Izakaya in Tokyo. Most of food & drink menu price JPY200, even Matsutake tempura!!! Just be careful they don’t have English menu.

This is a SHOWA IZAKAYA, called a Taishu izakaya (casual neighborhood pub), with fresh Sashimi, Tenpura, Oden and Sake (Japanese rice wine), and really great service. Just awesome ❣️ Just an update on my favorite izakaya, as in the attached photo. You need to speak Japanese here, but speaking just a little like me would be OK. lol 😆

Pretty good food, we came in the morning and it was not crowded at all. We were the only ones other than a filming going on inside the restaurant.

Technically, it’s not standing soba places, but the atmosphere and price are theirs. What’s more, the taste is awesome.

One of the largest kakiage serving soba stand. Try cho-ohyoshida once in a life.
