① Restaurant Highlights A renowned standing-style soba shop located in the basement of the "Shimbashi Daiichi Building," a mecca for businesspeople. With counters at both ends and in the center, it seats about 10 people. ② Food Review ◎ Maitake Tempura Soba The signature dish features maitake tempura fried to resemble leaves. It starts out crispy, then soaks up the broth to become tender, and finally falls apart to cling to the soba. This is a bowl of soba you can only find here.
View on GoogleA standing room only soba spot where salary men go for a quick bowl of flavorful soba. The only sound you hear from a continuous flow of in and out customers are the slurping sound of soba in a broth mixed with raw egg with crunchy tempura.
View on GoogleI can strongly recommend here if you have an interest for local culture in Tokyo of Japanese commuters by train to office day by day. Okutone serves good Japanese noodles for early morning with reasonable price as well as genuine food stuffs. Not a chain nor franchaise, so you will enjoy traditional Tokyo, Shimbashi culture. I use here on commuting to office day among weekdays.
