A modern Indian restaurant with great dishes and kind staff. One of the best places in Tokyo to have Indian cuisine. A upscale Indian restaurant in upscale shopping mall.
View on GoogleI visited this place twice with two different groups. The staff are incredibly polite and patient, definitely 5 stars. The lunch buffet has limited vegetarian options, offering only dal and kadhi. My friends loved the dal, which was rajma rather than yellow lentils. The yogurt was a bit sour, but the fruits were sweet and delicious. I only wish the masala chai had been unsweetened. I also really enjoyed the kus-kus and went back for extra helpings! On a side note, the wet tissues are large, it feels a bit mottainai! It would be great if they provided standard dry tissues for wiping hands as well. The naan is served at the table, please ask for more if you want it.
View on Google8/Apr 2026 ok here we are for the 3rd time. the reason why we came back was actually the location which is close to where we are 5 hall staff servicing 3 tables, who expected things could go wrong? this time we had a disappointing experience. we ordered samosa for entree, it came with no sauces no whatever. we kindly asked the waitress if there’s sauce and we were told it’s sold separately, in a tone that how come we didn’t know. ok fine, we ordered tamarind sauce and some hot sauce. 10 minutes later the same waitress came back telling us the hot cause is not available and they only have the mint sauce. ok then we asked for mint sauce then they came after 10 minutes. bu the time the sauce arrived our samosa was already cold, tough and inedible. and for the drinks, they let the soft drinks sit on the bar and we had to went there to grab it for ourselves. that’s really efficient isn’t it lol then we started long wait for all other stuff including curry, tandoori chicken and naans. the butter chicken took roughly 40 minutes, and when we asked, the waitress was like “oh we you know, some food takes longer to prepare “. Do you make the curry from the craft? not using a paste? anyway this place should shutdown given it’s terrible services. never going back
View on GoogleDecently tasty Indian food in a smart-casual atmosphere. If you go in December, the view of all the christmas lights and ice rink from the terrace is well worth it.
View on GoogleMy recent visit to Nirvana New York left me with mixed feelings. While my wife and I were underwhelmed by the Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani and Madras Pork Vindaloo, the samosas were decent, meeting our expectations. However, the highlight of our meal was definitely the Jerra Potato with Sour Cream Dip, which caught us pleasantly off guard with its delicious flavor. Kudos to the chef for being open to discussing the recipe for the Jerra Potatoes, showcasing a commitment to customer engagement. While our experience had its highs and lows, I encourage others to give Nirvana New York a try and form their own opinion.
