I went to this restaurant named Nandhini in Toranomon. This restaurant was a great option- I loved everything It is spacious compared to other restaurants. It has space outside also. The food quality is great, not too much oily. Not too spicy 🌶️. They balance flavor good especially in North Indian food we ordered which I didn’t expect from a South Indian restaurant. The service was really good, the staff is polite and the service is fast. The atmosphere is nice and clean. They decorated the restaurant nicely ✨. That’s what I really like. Overall, Nandhini is a great restaurant which I can absolutely recommend.

I was in the mood for briyani and this place was recommended to me by a friend. There’s lots of seating and the place has a semi-outdoor patio as well. The briyani was very tasty, and the sauces that came with it just really added so much flavor. I had parotta for the first time too. It was flaky and layered, and easy to pull apart. It was a nice change from naan. The mango lassi was also really good. Service was fast and friendly.

If you’re craving great Indian food, Nandhini Indian Restaurant is an absolute must- it’s my favorite Indian restaurant in Tokyo. I always go for the butter chicken with coconut rice, and it never disappoints. The butter chicken is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the coconut rice pairs perfectly with it- light, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. Always paired with a kingfisher or haywards:) The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the food is always prepared quickly, which makes it an easy go to whether you’re dining in or grabbing something on the go. Great food, great service, and my go-to spot for Indian cuisine in Tokyo. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

The fresh fragrance of the spices in the curry and chutney was so wonderful and made everything so enjoyable. Having a wide variety of starch choice was great also, especially idli and dosa can be challenging to find in Japan. The price is very reasonable and you will leave satisfied! One of the best southern Indian restaurant in Japan for sure!

The best South Indian food I've had in Tokyo so far. After a long evening, my friend and I visited Nandhini. The place is very small but cozy. Pretty soon, we had the menu in our hand and ordered a lot of things. I was surprised to see their menu look like a menu out of a Bengaluru restaurant. Usually, the Indian food in Japan have names which you normally do not even see in India, that wasn't the case here. We ordered lemon chicken, chicken 65, Parippu Vada, Chettinad Chicken Curry and Kulcha. Each and every dish was mind blowing. Lemon chicken just felt like the one I'd have in Bengaluru, same with Chicken 65. Chettinad Chicken curry was well made and a great kick to it. And the vadas were hot and crispy and the chutney was perfect. And ordered a kulfi as well, which was really made well with a lot of dry fruits. All the dishes had the right amount of spice and were really delicious and felt like I was back in Bengaluru. And, the prices are not very high and infact, the whole dinner with a few drinks on the side costed us only 8K yen. And the service was really great, the staff made us feel very welcome and one of them even conversed with me in Kannada. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who'd want to taste authentic South Indian food. And I'm definitely visiting again.
