Between Meetings Since I had a bit of free time before my next meeting for the first time in a while, I went out to explore a ramen shop. Ever since I had some Iekei ramen in Yokohama, I’ve been in the mood for it, and that’s what brought me here today. My image of Iekei ramen has always been that it’s meant to be eaten together with rice. But at the last few shops I’ve visited, I’ve only had the ramen by itself, and it hasn’t felt overly rich—in fact, it was surprisingly easy to eat. This shop was the same: even on its own, the ramen was delicious and satisfying.

Iekei Style is very addictive and with a juicy braised pork and free bowl of rice, this place deserves 5-stars as far as food quality. After much debate, I decided to go with 4-stars because waiting for over 20min outside is a bit much. If there is no line, one deserves to spoil themselves from time to time! Absolutely delicious! We don't speak Japanese but the staff tried their best. Really friendly, really good ramen with lots of toppings. Loved it and will be back!

Delicious Ramen close to Keio University. Cheap and tasty, they offer a wide range of dishes.

Authentic, comfy no-frills ramen. It's not gonna win any prizes, but I immensely enjoyed this fatty, filling, 'family style' ramen. Oh, and free rice!
