I had a fantastic experience at Miyako Tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was absolutely outstanding—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and clearly prepared fresh to order. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each dish. What made the visit even better was the warm hospitality. The chef and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself is spotless, with a clean, comfortable setting that makes it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. It’s not just great food—it’s a complete experience. High-quality dishes served with attention and care, all at a fair price. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Killer. The tonkatsu was incredible. I felt a bit rushed at first but after, it seemed I was given too much time. Goldilocks over here. But the food was mega plentiful, and I felt like I needed to eat it all. Many plates outside your tonkatsu, so it’s filling for sure. Multiple dipping sauces and an overall wonderful experience.

This is off the usual tourist route. Hidden in the neighborhood of Azabu, this place offer a outstanding alternative take to the traditional tonkastu dish . For starters, the sauce . Offering maple syrup as a condiment elevate the taste of the meat by adding the hint of sweetness and diminish the fatty oily residue taste of the meat . The meat selection is unique too. It offer ham cut. Large meat almost 2 inch thick . Juicy and crispy at the same go. This hole in the wall shop has the capital to command long queues. Group beware, restaurant size is small ,only a single table to seat 4 plus , a counter top that seat around 10.

Arrived at 6:10 but had to wait for about 30 min. There was one available seat (see the pic) but the staff asked me to wait outside. That seat was not taken even after I got in. I ordered and finished my food in 30 min, so this is a bit offending. Now the food. I dont mind queuing for food, but overall I dont think it’s worth waiting for food here. The meat has too much fat (around 25% of each piece). The soup was greasy and the meat inside it is very dry. The meat was thick and good quality (not that much impressive) and yes dipping it into the maple syrup was interesting (and oddly good). But I thought many times just to buy bento at the supermarket right next to this place, before and after eating out here.

Delicious pork dishes. The crunchy coating was perfect. Can choose from a range of sizes and a couple of cuts. The curry was just what I needed on a freezing night, very warming. The staff were welcoming. We were prepared to use Google translate, but the restaurant has an english menu, and chef spoke English. Can use your credit card.
