Went here on weekday. The staffs were welcoming & nice. The museum was so much fun. It was educational & loved the interactive portions too. Entrance is even free. The first floor features the Permanent Exhibition Area which has 4 themes (The Sea, The City, Nature & The Human Body). I personally enjoyed watching the video about Deep Sea Creatures. The 2nd floor is where the Meteorological Science Museum is. You can learn more about Natural Disasters and how to stay safe in the event of a disaster. The cute mascot, Harerun, can also be found here. Enjoyed the Uzunosuke the most. The Planetarium is on the 2nd floor as well. We checked the schedule for it & bought a ticket at the machine on the 1st floor. The Planetarium was fun & relaxing. You can even recline your chair. Enjoyed our visit here.

The Science Museum was an interesting place to visit with a lot to see. There were many different exhibitions, and several of them were quite memorable. It was a good place to explore and learn new things. There was also a tulip display area to look at, which was nice and a little unexpected. Overall, it was an interesting place to spend time and explore the exhibits.

A hidden gem in Minato area! My kid LOVED the experience! The best of it all? We were almost always alone throughout our visit! And it was free of charge! Such an interactive museum! Was so difficult to pull my kid away from it! Would definitely go for some more experiments. There is a planetarium on the 2nd floor which requires the purchase of a ticket.

Highly recommend. First floor is mainly science stuff but very interactive and entertaining. Second floor is mainly "disasters" but also with nice interactive elements and good for groups. And all that for free. Takes around 45 min. There's also a little planetarium on the second floor with great shows. Around 40 min total the first 15 in Japanese but then with an English audio available. And pretty cheap too. Just make sure to check the times as there are only 3 shows a day. All in all a good experience, very interactive and perfect for a bad weather day.

Admission to the base floor and meteorology exhibition is free. Small space mainly for children. Expected so much to see planetary show, but it's a bit disappointing. Not sure how varied between shows but the one I had was mainly normal documentary style, very vague, general knowledge which can easily watch on YouTube, all in Japanese. Audio translation machine is available. Edit: watched a second time, the quality of movie was good and contents were interesting.
