Dropped by for lunch on a Saturday noon and was able to get a seat without a reservation. I had the lunch set menu B, and selected mapo tofu, porridge, dandan soupless noodles, broiled soup, and salad. The porridge was served hot, but the soup was lukewarm, which was quite disappointing. The noodles were very nice, and the mapo tofu wasn’t too oily. It felt a bit unusual to have tofu with porridge instead of rice, but I was craving porridge that day, so it was still fine. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and hope they serve the soup hot next time!
View on GoogleThe ¥8000 tasting course here barely puts a foot wrong, and is luxuriously served over about 3 hours. A spiced beef noodle dish was my highlight, though the cheese course was also perfect, and the dessert of Sakura ice cream with a mint sauce seemed an improbable combination but worked incredibly well for me.
View on GoogleWaited for ~20 minutes to get in for lunch but it was well-worth the wait. Food/tea: tasty and just the right amount Service: well-paced (once getting in, plenty of space for one and didn’t feel rushed even though I eventually only got in close to 3pm: end of lunch service) Atmosphere: quiet and relaxed Will definitely go back!
View on GoogleFantastic refined Chinese (sichuan/canton), cooked medicinally. Not doubt it's the best Tantanmen (hot, cold or dry) and among the bests Mabo Dofu in town.
View on Google1 glass of wine and a few pieces of cheese the size of a peanut : almost 3200 yen .. a rip-off
