★★★★★ Stumbled on Mi Familia after visiting the TeamLab exhibit and craving tacos — best decision of the night. Total hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about both the food and the experience. We went with the chef’s special and it absolutely delivered. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully balanced — easily on par with traditional spots in Mexico. The carnitas tacos were so good I completely forgot to take a photo… which says everything. If you’re anywhere nearby and even thinking about tacos, go. You won’t regret it.

Not recommended for vegetarians - Thinking Mexican cuisine can offer vegetarian options, I went here on a weekday evening. As empty as it was, the staff had a lot of thinking to decide where to sit me. They asked I must order a food and a drink and must pay 500 yen service charge. I said yes without looking at the menu. To my surprise, there was only 1 vegetarian option - Chips and guacamole. Ended up ordering that with beer and paying 3500 yen just to go to the next door Indian restaurant to have a proper dinner 😀 The ambience was spooky (a bit too dark for me)

Ok, so I was skeptical cuz ya know, it's Japan! Tiny spot, but such a cute, traditional Mexican vibe (even the restroom!). One server, and ww were told only one chef. It wasn't busy when we were seated, it was a good 40 mins for the reserved party tables to arrive and that long to receive our initial drink order. It was almost 1 hour for our guac/chips. After that, our entrees were served about 20 minutes later. My entree, red chicken chilaquiles, were very tasty BUT not hot- barely warm, unfortunately. The red sauce was very good, a little tiny spice. The guac was fresh but needed seasoning. The quesadilla with chorizo/potatoes was good, but the chorizo/potatoes needed seasoning/salt. The 2 tacos, carnitas, were great! Our server definitely focused on the other large group (his friends), so that was disappointing and lively attributed to receiving all our items so late (while other tables received their drinks & food fairly quickly).

This is my favorite restaurant in Tokyo! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The service is beyond excellent. Shun-san is the best and Taro-san puts so much care in to every single meal. The attention to detail and service is 10 out of 10. Your Tokyo trip is not complete without a visit to Mi Familia! Thank you Shun-san, Mario-san, and Taro-san for great food and even better service. I miss it already. Highly reccomend the Caesar salad, Pork Carnitas, and Guac/Salsa.

Our waiter Yuta was incredible! The food was 10/10, that tomatillo sauce was EVERYTHING! The carnitas quesadillas were better than any I’ve had in the U.S. (Florida). Highly recommend
