MEAT & GRILL MARCO AKASAKA
[An adult meat bar to enjoy with all five senses] Outstanding atmosphere! A5-rank wagyu, sourced daily, served in its best condition ~MEAT & GRILL MARCO~ If you want to eat the best meat in Akasaka! What we focus on is not the brand but "the meat in its best condition that day." Our top recommendation is, without a doubt, the "Charcoal Grill Platter"! Carefully selected meats are prepared according to the cut and carefully grilled. The savory aroma tickles your nose, and the moist, tender, juicy meat releases umami and sweetness. Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with meat♪ Besides charcoal grilling, there's a lineup of our proud à la carte dishes. Among them, the signature dish is the "Meat Spaghetti." The meat quality is one of the best but the quantity, service, communication and the prices are the one of the worst in our Japan tour. The english level of the staff is not ‘so good’; there is no level of English. They even don’t understand the basic restaurant words and the brand names such as Pellegrino so it’s mission impossible to have a communication. What’s been brought to the table is also different from what’s written on the menu. It’s written ‘strawberry and burrato caprese’ but they served it with ham (even though we mentioned that we don’t eat pork). It’s written ‘french fries’ but they served ‘patatas bravas’ The quantity is also a disaster! We ordered the most expensive combo at 13 kyens but they only brought 180 gr meat. I’ll be honest with the taste; it was so juicy and tender but so little! We also ordered peach juice but they brought the glass only filled up to 20%. Regarding the push to order a drink for each person and additional 10% service is also the peak of rudeness, especially while getting no real service at all. That is the only place to see such an application during our days in Japan.
View on GoogleMade a reservation in advance prior to our trip to Tokyo. The restaurant was on a curated list of restaurants for overseas JCB cardholders and we selected it based on the reviews. The food was generally ok, nothing mind blowing especially if you factor in the price of the course. The cuts of beef and breeds on offer were a big plus. The chef definitely cares about what he puts forth on the plate, which is always good to see. From a service perspective, expect it to be on the slow side as the restaurant is essentially overwhelmed when it is operating at full capacity. Unfortunately, given the limitations in floor (particularly kitchen) space, there really is not much that they can do to improve on that department. Overall, it was still an enjoyable meal and the staff members are extremely friendly and polite. It is just that there is a lot of competition out there in Tokyo and this is, from my perspective, a realistic reflection of where they currently stand.
View on GoogleMarco Meat & Grill Akasaka is located in Akasaka entertainment area at 〒107-0052 Tokyo, Minato City, Akasaka, 3 Chome−21−8 高和赤坂ビル 2F They serve Western style cookings of meat & grill. The restaurant is not so large therefore reservation in advance is suggested. We ordered a course which consisted of a cold appetizer, Duck Tagliata Salad, Specialty Macaron Burger, the main course is Hyogo Kobe Beef A5 Sirloin with seasonal grilled vegetables - this main dish is super delicious, then - Meat Spaghetti is also nice. They also serve beer and a wide range of wines for your selection. Their staff are all friendly. If you have a chance to be at Akasaka in the evening, this restaurant is one of very best choises !!
View on GoogleThis place was amazing! I'm not sure of the name of the lady who served us, but she was phenomenal. Her English wasn't great, but she made a real effort to translate what we couldnt understand with our limited Japanese (which is not something I would ever expect of anyome serving me in Japan) She was extremely nice, polite and truly acomodating. She had a bubbly personality and really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. The food was incredible.... I had the most expensive cut at just under $100 (The chateaubriand) and it just melted in my mouth. It was perfectly salted, and the addition of the mustard seeds was just amazing. Seriously the best steak I've ever had. The chef did an outstanding job, truly. The wagyu spaghetti was also just delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and and the wagyu meatball on top really made the dish. The "French fries" weren't the best I've ever eaten, and they weren't what (as an aussie) I'd call "French fries" but they were still pretty good nonetheless. Overall, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing staff. I highly reccomend coming here if you're ever in the Akasaka area and looking for a meal. I know it certainly won't be my last time here!
View on GoogleAmazing food and very polite employees. The place is rather small and personal. We came here twice already for the meet pasta. It’s made out of Udon noddles with Japanese beef. Truly unique. The burata as an Appetizer was also great.
