Azabu-Juban is located in Azabu-Juban, at the bottom of Sendaizaka. Inside, the counter is arranged around the charcoal fire, and the walls are finished in earthen plaster mixed with buckwheat husks. Enjoying pre-soba dishes like sashimi and charcoal grilling, then finishing with freshly made, fragrant soba... that style is what makes this soba restaurant popular. Please enjoy our thin, smooth-to-swallow soba, handmade daily by our artisans, with our house-made soba tsuyu. We also offer a full range of à la carte dishes and courses. We're open at lunchtime too.

Beautifully designed dining room, with a small grill at the center and low seating bar-style eating around, as well as a couple of more intimate tables off to the side. To be fair, the whole place has an intimate vibe with beautiful lighting. Perfect for solo diners or couples. The staff speak limited English (and we, limited Japanese) but they have an English menu and took great care of us all evening. For dinner they offered a set Omakase at around 6,000 yen per person, which had I think 6 dishes plus your choice of soba, but we went for the a la carte and had snow crab salad (1,400 yen! amazing value), the grilled chicken meatball on a skewer (the best of its kind I've ever tried) followed by hot soba noodles (you can also order them cold), one with duck and the other with eel tempura. The eel was much fishier in this form than when I have had it over rice with the sticky bbq sauce style glaze. Almost like the fish in fish and chips from back in UK! Everything was prepared carefully and was totally delicious. The broth the noodles came in was almost like it was delicately smoked. All these dishes plus two large beers came to the budget friendly price of 9,000 yen.

Would recommend making reservation online. Service and food were really good - we got the Sudachi Soba and Soba lunch set. I wish we had enough room to enjoy the omakase (but we were there early for lunch). They provide an english menu if you need it, but staff will have limited English (Google Translate helps!) but are happy to help you enjoy your meal properly. We made our reservation through autoreserve and had the time slot confirmed within a few hours.

Super delicious food. I went at night, not on a budget. The soba was amazing as well as every dish that came out. They do have other dishes including udon, yakitori, sashimi, and tempura.

Great surprise! Amazing soba - full on flavour with seasonal delicacy with Sudachi! Perfect for summer! Delicious & well grilled Tsukune as well. Worth visit for either light dinner or full blown dinner & drinks. They have more dishes that I’d like to try.
