We came in an hour before closing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We spoke minimal Japanese and they tried their best to communicate with us in english, and even provided us with an english menu. It was relatively empty, so we got our food fast. The zaru soba was perfect. The dipping sauce tasted so good with the perfectly cooked soba. Every piece of tempura were so delicious too. We really love the tamago as well. It was juicy and super yummy! Having tried many sobas in Japan, this is by far my favourite!

Old school soba restaurant (yet I went for their udon). The Iberian pork broth was amazing and I personally believe udon was the best option, but left me a bit hungry. If you are looking for volume, best to keep it simple with a large amount of soba noodles. Crowd Size: High-ish Payment Method: PayPay

Ordered mori soba680円 and mini katsudon570円. Quite generous portions. The mini katsudon especially is not mini. It feels family-run and homey. Good taste, low prices, and big portions. If I were going for soba in 田町, this would probably be the place.

Prices have gone up since 10月11日, but with the current wave of price increases, it cannot be helped Katsuju1150円 Large serving150円 Soba highball550円 After eating this katsuju 3 times, I am already hooked It might have become my personal No.1 katsuju The other day I ate at a very famous tonkatsu shop with a long line, but it was so unimpressive I was stunned I wondered why everyone was lining up that long to eat katsudon The katsuju at 町田や Has perfectly balanced umami, sweetness, and saltiness, and the onions are excellent too The katsu has some bite but is crispy So delicious it has me captivated Recently there are all sorts, from white coatings to katsudon with thick, tender cutlets that are not cooked together with egg, but none have personally impressed me I do not need photogenic food; I want something truly delicious It is almost frightening to think they have been serving katsuju this incredible all along But the tempura soba looked tasty too〜 The coating looked thin and delicious The miso soup is also truly delicious, and I love the side dishes that change each time First visit It is in an unassuming spot from the outside, but apparently it was founded 100 years ago‼️ An amazing long-established shop I really craved a soba shop's katsudon, so I searched and came here, and hit the jackpot‼️ This time I ordered tanuki soba and mini katsudon; the soba might be ordinary, but the katsudon was exactly my type‼️ Freshly fried and cooked with egg, with irresistible crispness The seasoning is just right too Not salty, with some sweetness and plenty of onions, incredibly delicious No unpleasant oil smell, really tasty Maybe next time I will try a large katsuju Among soba shop katsudon, this might be my favorite The lingering impression is wonderful I found a good place

This weekday lunch was at a small neighborhood soba shop in 三田. The exterior does not suggest its history, but it was actually founded in the Taisho era! I had a light lunch at this long-established shop, well over 100 years old. 『Chilled tanuki soba/950円』 The chilled tanuki arrived topped with tempura crumbs, shredded nori, kamaboko, naruto, thin strips of egg, and spinach, with scallions and wasabi on a separate plate. There was vinegar on the tray too; is that a tradition? Does it taste good poured on? The soba is thin, perhaps similar to 小諸そば. But it has more buckwheat flavor than 小諸 and a firmer, satisfying texture. The sauce is also on the salty side and delicious. There is plenty of soba, making this dish alone very satisfying. Honestly, I went in without expecting much, but never thought it would be this good. The interior is fairly small and tables are shared at lunchtime, but some customers were shown upstairs to the 2nd floor, so that may depend on the proprietress's judgment. Service was proper too, and she offered paper aprons to female customers. Places loved for so long really are different.
