After missing the chance to try this place last summer due to showing up at close in the middle of a driving rain, tried again. It’s excellent. To be fair, I’m a fan of latte art and they clearly are too. I had a charcoal flat white and cortado. On the cortado, the espresso flavor was in the very dark chocolate side of the spectrum which I like. I would also say the flavor was just smooth—I suspect virtually anyone would like it. At times I prefer more aggressive flavor profiles but this was very nice. For the charcoal drink I asked for a very small sugar add. They got it right with only the slightest hint of sweet. If you are in the area, worth your time to drop in. It’s not a place to sit and work but it’s absolutely worth a pit stop to have an excellent pour.

I have never been this hyped about going to a coffee shop and I am glad to finally cross this off the itinerary as I had a phenomenal experience. My friends and I showed up pretty early and was served by Taka who was an amazing and kind barista who made our sit very memorable. I got the Black Signature Uji Hojicha hot latte and the Black honey donut which were both delicious in their own specialty.

First you order, then sit, enjoy and pay when finished. This location doesn’t have many seating and is a bit cramped. My wife really wanted to try this coffee and she really enjoyed it. The matcha latte was a bit water down and just okay. Unfortunately, in order to sit inside, you must order a drink per person. The real star was the s’mores cheesecake square. It was incredible and one of a kind! It was perfection in a tiny square. The staff were cool. The gentleman that rang us up spoke English and Spanish.

I was searching for coffee place that opens early in the morning. I found this place and it happens to be a very famous one. Love the matcha latte. Everything was delicious and it was cozy as well. Space is kinda narrow but considering the coffee and the location. It’s still a great place to visit. Definitely recommend this one. You gonna visit.

Stopped by on a whim after a hair cut down the street! Got to try a black Uji matcha latte made by Hiroki. He was so lovely and made sure we were happy with our drinks. My husband got the pour over coffee and Hiroki let him smell the beans for him to choose his preference of roast. Will come back again before we leave Japan!
