Kushiage Age-Age, which I visited by chance in Azabujuban, was an izakaya that felt like a hidden gem where you can enjoy authentic kushiage casually. The shop has counter and table seats, with a calm yet moderately lively atmosphere, making it easy to use for dates or drinking with friends. Each kushiage is carefully fried one by one, and the feature is that the batter is light and crispy. Especially the shrimp and asparagus, the taste of the original ingredients is strongly felt, and I felt like I could eat as many as I wanted. The sauce is also not too heavy, and a pleasant point is that you can enjoy it until the end without getting bored. The omakase assortment is recommended for beginners because you can enjoy various types in a balanced way. Also, there are many types of drinks, and the combination of highball or sour with kushiage is excellent. The staff is also friendly and comfortable, making me stay longer than intended. It is good value for money, and it is a perfect shop when you want to enjoy delicious kushiage casually in Azabujuban!

After a long time wanting to eat crispy kushikatsu cheaply, and thinking that it might be a long time since I've been to Azabujuban, I found this shop. You can order casually from 100 yen, 150 yen, 200 yen, to 400 yen. Because it was rare, I chose ramune as a drink companion. I think I ate beef, shrimp, squid, asparagus, corn, shiitake mushrooms, crab cream, fried chicken, potato butter, and pork? With a crispy and light batter, the inside is really hot when freshly fried! The person I went with said squid was the most delicious, but they almost got burned. I like corn because it's sweet, and of course shrimp. As a closing, we shared plum ochazuke. On the way home, I passed the mansions in Moto-Azabujuban, passed in front of the Chinese Embassy, walked to Roppongi to eat at McD after a long time, the place is spacious with high ceilings and cool, at night the atmosphere is like in America. Passed Ichome and Tameike, then walked to the Imperial Palace, Otemachi is just around the corner.

For Azabujuban, it's cheap and the fried food is delicious. I've been there about 10 times. I would be happy if they separated the smoking area. Personally, my recommendations are chicken, egg rice, salted offal stew, and fried camembert cheese. Conversely, what I felt didn't quite fit were natto and chicken plum shiso. Soft drinks are 300 yen, so you can enjoy it without hesitation even if you don't drink alcohol. Because it's located a bit hidden, it's also good because it's not too crowded. Maybe because the oil used is good, it doesn't make you feel sick at all. It's strange.

There are few snacks other than kushiage. Kushiage uses ingredients commensurate with the price and the taste is mediocre. Low-priced menu items like red sausage and ham katsu are delicious. The interior of the store is too sticky with oil, so it should be cleaned better. Smoking is allowed and there is no separation, so clothes become oily and smell like cigarettes.
