View on GoogleKuroge wagyu karubi answers the call of those struggling to find weekend lunch On weekends in Akasaka, the office workers disappear, and the proportion of foreign tourists is high. And very few restaurants serve lunch. So I went to 草の家, which I'd been curious about for a while, and which serves lunch even on weekends. I chose the ku roge wagyu karubi marked as the top recommendation, picked up familiar vegetables from the salad bar, and chose a mildly spicy dressing. With a yakiniku lunch, I was definitely thinking beer, but short on time, I chose tea from the drink bar. The menu's recommended ku roge wagyu karubi was thick-cut with marbling that promised deliciousness, karubi you wouldn't expect from a lunch menu. If this is any indication, the rosu and nama harami should be promising too. If my next visit is on a weekend day off, I could enjoy lunchtime drinks with karubi, rosu, and nama harami, and less rice. Kuroge wagyu karubi ¥1350-
View on GoogleI came alone for lunch around 12:30 on a day off. The restaurant was quiet, and I was seated immediately. The interior had a calm Korean palace style, with a scattering of solo diners and small groups. Although it's a Korean restaurant, the yakiniku seemed to focus on beef, with fewer pork options. ◯Yakiniku lunch (karubi & rosu): 1,350円 Apparently the regular meat portion is 100g and the large is 150g. Even the 100g portion came with about 7 fairly thick slices, so it was reasonably satisfying. The karubi seemed quite fatty, but when cooked thoroughly, it had a sweetness and was very delicious. The salad bar also has kimchi and namul, and the drink bar offers jasmine tea, oolong tea, and hot coffee. Considering the unlimited rice refills at this price, plus being able to enjoy a relaxed meal in a calm atmosphere even on Saturdays and Sundays, I think it's excellent value.
