We visited Keyakizaka Illumination on a weekday, and thankfully it wasn’t too crowded, making it easy to enjoy the lights at a relaxed pace. As soon as Tokyo Tower came into view, the entire scene transformed into a stunning, photogenic moment — the contrast of blue-white lights lining the street with the warm glow of the tower explains why this spot becomes so popular during the holiday season. Because the area attracts large crowds, especially on weekends and close to Christmas, we recommend visiting on a weekday after around 5 PM. You’ll still catch the beautiful illumination while avoiding the overwhelming rush of people.
View on GoogleA rather large mall compared to the Azabudai Hills Tower Plaza, great spot to see the Tokyo Tower from afar at night, or maybe in the day too. I bought a coffee from one of the shops and it was 400 Jap Yen if I’m not mistaken, pretty affordable price i gotta say
View on GoogleThe illumination here is beautiful, with countless LEDs lighting up the trees in a stunning display. It does get very crowded, but the management is well organized, especially for those who want to take photos of Tokyo Tower from the middle of the street.
View on GoogleBeautiful illuminations and not too crowded on the day we visited. For reference, they begin near the Grand Hyatt entrance and end near the Tsutaya bookstore.
