焼肉かすがKasuga
Welcome to 『焼肉かすが』, a hidden retreat 1 minute on foot from 品川 Station. We exclusively serve domestic female 黒毛和牛 graded A4 or higher, sourced directly from the 芝浦 Meat Market. Female beef has a low melting point and a flavor that melts in your mouth. Be sure to try our popular カルビ! After savoring delicious meat, you can also enjoy your finishing dish here. Our popular finishing dish, 『牛めし』, features various cuts slowly simmered and served over rice. Enjoy it as a special finale! Our restaurant spans 3 floors. I have been staying in Shinagawa for work and I found Kasuga in the alley. I am glad I did! Kasuga mama san runs the shop and has been very friendly and accommodating. She speaks some English and always made an effort to speak with me and we had several good conversations. Her staff is also friendly. Sadly I will be staying in a different hotel location and won’t be able to enjoy the food as often. It was worth it while it lasted! I hope to return in the future!

View on GoogleEver since a yakiniku-loving friend recommended it, this has been a place I want to visit regularly. They focus on female beef sourced from 吉澤畜産, and seem to compete on the deliciousness of the meat itself rather than flashy presentation. The 並ロース in particular is a must. The balance of marbling and lean meat flavor is exquisite, making you wonder how the "並" grade can be this good. The sauce is simple but brings out the meat's flavor beautifully. I appreciate being able to enjoy wagyu's natural sweetness and aroma without them being masked by strong seasoning. More yakiniku restaurants have been emphasizing spectacle lately, but places like this, which seriously source good meat and serve it carefully, are the ones I want to keep visiting. It's not flashy, but the more you love yakiniku, the more this place will appeal to you.
View on Google【Visited a popular yakiniku restaurant in 品川】 Around 18 on Friday, a friend and I visited a yakiniku restaurant near 品川 Station. Although tucked away in an alley, it is rumored locally to be "the most popular." When we arrived, the 1st floor was practically empty, but the 2nd and 3rd floors were already full. At that point I thought, "This could be promising," but the first thing I noticed inside was the amount of smoke. Perhaps the ventilation isn't adequate, because the air was stuffy enough to make my eyes sting. Staying long might be a little tough (enough to bring tears…). Anyway, we regrouped and ordered. This time we chose: • 上ロース • 上ハラミ • レバー • 塩タン • ミックスホルモン • ライス • キムチ • チョレギサラダ The food arrived surprisingly quickly after ordering, which alone made things stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a quick meal or wanting to eat after work without taking too much time. The flavors were undeniably high quality. These points stood out in particular: • 上ロース and 上ハラミ had just the right amount of fat and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. • The first bite of 塩タン made me go "Hmm?", but the flavor opened up from the second bite, and adding lemon transformed it instantly. • The ミックスホルモン, including cuts I don't usually eat, had no unpleasant strong taste and was genuinely delicious. The salad and キムチ weren't neglected either. The チョレギサラダ dressing was especially delicious and perfect for refreshing the palate. There were, however, a few concerns. • The table was so small that all the dishes wouldn't fit. • Inadequate ventilation leaves your clothes and phone smelling of grease and smoke. → You might not want to come wearing a business suit or your favorite clothes. The bill came to about 12,000円 for 2 people. It felt somewhat expensive even without alcohol, but in terms of **flavor, speed, and "an experience you can only have here and now,"** it was quite satisfying for the price. If you already consider "smoke and smells part of the joy of yakiniku," I'd definitely like you to visit at least once. If possible, I recommend coming after work in casual clothes. If you visit, please share your impressions!
View on GoogleThe meat is average. I won't be back. Disappointing At this price, there are plenty of better restaurants.
