Prices are relatively low. Tastes good. It's usually crowded at lunch time.
View on GoogleThinking about having to work in the afternoon, I wasn't confident I could finish the famous omurice, so I had the aji fry set meal. The fish was fried nice and crispy, and it came with a small side dish, all for 990円, so I was fully satisfied Previously, I've also had the katsu curry and the ramen with half-portion fried rice set The curry and ramen were somewhat strongly flavored, so I was surprised that the fried rice was lightly seasoned, but it was delicious and I finished everything Of course, the portions were plenty😋 Someday I'll take on the omurice😅 And this time, having eaten nothing since morning for a health checkup and with only barium in my stomach, I took on the omurice As other reviews say, the ketchup rice isn't overpowering, and it goes down without getting boring I think my blood sugar hit its highest level, But I finished it in no time😅
View on GoogleA Chinese restaurant that has been in the Keio Nakadori shopping street for years. I had ⚫︎Their famous omurice ¥950. It's very, very ordinary omurice, yet it's so delicious. The chicken rice has plenty of chicken and is packed quite firmly, and the flavor of that chicken rice is outstanding. It's also large, so we shared it between two people and ordered other dishes. ⚫︎Wonton men ¥780 ⚫︎Aji fry ¥810(←judging from the total bill) These were also delicious with no corners cut, and we were very satisfied with both the flavors and portions. Every male customer who came in ordered omurice. After trying it, I really understood why.
View on GoogleA restaurant famous for its huge portions of omurice. The katsu curry was also quite strongly flavored and delicious. It seems otoshi is served even if you don't drink alcohol. I appreciated being given a pitcher of iced oolong tea instead of drinking water. Smoking is also allowed, so it's a good place for smokers. Update This time I had the ramen with half-portion fried rice set. The ramen is nostalgic in style and goes well with pepper, with a gentle flavor and a fairly strong dried-fish-flake note. The fried rice had plenty of umami from pork fat and felt like a classic neighborhood Chinese restaurant dish; it was very delicious. Update I visited with a friend on Saturday at lunchtime. We ended up ordering yakimeshi, omurice, and nira no tamagotoji (I forgot to take a photo). The yakimeshi was delicious again, just like last time. However, this time I also wanted individual dishes such as gyoza, but the staff refused, saying, “We haven't prepared those!” When I asked, they said that because it was Saturday lunchtime, most individual dishes weren't available, but they could prepare the main dishes from the set meals. I thought it wasn't very considerate that most items listed on the menu outside couldn't be served. It's not good to expect too much from a casual neighborhood restaurant, but I've changed my overall rating to 3 stars.
View on GoogleAfter a long time, I returned to a restaurant I often visited when I lived nearby about 15 years ago. When I greeted the lady at the restaurant, she remembered me. It made me think how amazing people in customer service are. One of her relatives joined the Giants through the draft and now works for the Hanshin club as a bullpen catcher, so we also held year-end parties here with fellow Hanshin fans. Many of the regulars were lovely people too, and it was a pleasant restaurant. Apparently it's famous for omurice, but it's enormous, so a woman on her own can't finish it🤣 When I couldn't finish my fried rice or omurice, I would sometimes have the leftovers packed to take home. Everything tastes good, so I recommend everything. I was relieved to see the same people in the kitchen and on the floor, all looking well. Please stay healthy and keep up the good work. I'll visit again.
