In this restaurant, you are NOT welcome! Pretty rude staff.

Lunch: Udon noodles in an indescribable sesame / leek broth with thinly sliced pork, and a unique onigiri rice ball. There are two choices to make at lunchtime- do you want hot or cold udon; and do you want the usual size or the large helping? Not vegetarian.

2026/8/XX (Lunch) When it comes to delicious cold udon in Akasaka in summer, this is the Japanese restaurant that comes to mind first. At lunchtime they serve cold or hot sesame-sauce udon, and it's a popular place where a line forms at peak times. I arrived 5 minutes before opening and joined a line of 2 groups, 3 people. Visiting solo, I was seated at the counter. They have you sit leaving one seat empty in between, so there's plenty of space until it gets crowded. As planned, I ordered this. ■Sesame-sauce cold udon @1,000 yen (tax included) ※Cash only The cold udon took a little over 10 minutes from ordering to be served. The hot udon is served faster. Now, about the udon: supple, smooth thin noodles like Inaniwa udon, and they go down exceptionally well. Just the right firmness too, ideal and delicious udon. The sesame sauce that goes with it is quite rich, but has a solid sesame flavor, and the balance of sweetness and acidity is exquisite, seriously tasty. The toppings of nori, small green onions, and myoga as condiments pair perfectly with the sesame sauce. Lunch comes with a small onigiri of gomoku mixed rice. It's made in advance, but the dashi has soaked into the rice, it's delicious, and it made a good companion to the udon. It's run by two people, an elderly couple?, and the service is kind and courteous. It was so delicious that I'd like to come back this summer for the cold udon, or once it gets cooler, for the hot udon. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch a little after 1 p.m. There were only a few customers inside, and the atmosphere was very quiet and calm. You could choose hot or cold udon, so I ordered the hot sesame-flavored udon set. It has a refreshing taste like vinegared miso, and it clings well to the smooth, Inaniwa udon-style noodles. The miso flavor combined with the freshness of the mizuna and the savoriness of the meat, and it was very delicious. The onigiri in the set was a little cold, but just right for eating with the hot udon, and since it was gently seasoned, it went well with the pickles on the side too. Tea was on the table and you could pour it yourself freely. Note that lunch payment is cash only, so be careful.
