An eel restaurant in the Mita shopping street. It's hard to get served without a reservation, so a reservation is a must. The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere, a place full of charm. The eel has a light sauce, and it's characterized by quite a lot of char. It's not a plump, fluffy eel, but closer to Kansai style. Tokyo has many restaurants with delicious eel, so this level is kind of meh. The eel comes in matsu, take, and ume grades; matsu was 4600 yen, take about 3500 yen.

It was the best! The service was polite too. There aren't many staff, so of course it must be tough when it gets busy, but the atmosphere is the best ☝️

It really is bad!! A specialty shop worse than Yoshigyu's eel is just astonishing!! The fish is thin, and while it's grilled thoroughly, the "sauce" is bad, so there's nothing good about it! On top of that, since it's that kind of place, it's ridiculously empty, yet even alone you're made to wait 30 minutes! I felt even a microwave would be fine... But since it's so empty, it might be good for when you absolutely want eel, even if it's bad.

An eel restaurant open only for weekday lunch. It caters to office workers in the neighborhood. Among places called "Inageya", the one in Nishi-Nippori is famous, but they're not related.

Just after 13:00 the day after Ushi no Hi. After going in, no one came out no matter how many times I called "Excuse me~". I couldn't stand the stares from several customers, so I left. I guess they just don't care.
