As soon as I walked into the restaurant, the old lady told me to leave. She was treating the other customers with respect, so I was genuinely shocked.

Outside on the door it says “Glück Schiff” in German, but I think no one inside knows what it means 🤣 the best thing first: you can smoke in this restaurant, which is already a rarity in Tokyo. The food was fantastic 😎 the service was very warm, and we had a lovely evening with Japanese men in ties and Whiskey. We're always happy to come back. Cash payment only Arigato

I think it's good for people who can smoke. Expensive. I had hamburg and rice, but... hmm. Once is enough, there won't be a second visit!!

I opened the shop's door, went in, and was shocked. The interior was thick with cigarette smoke. Oh dear. I had the menchi katsu for 920円. The menchi katsu had no flavor. The sauce on it was also blander than it looked. I added the sauce provided on the table. (^^;; It was so smoky that I left quickly. And now my throat feels scratchy. Of course I won't be back.

My first visit! It seems to be run by 2 people. I had the hamburg for lunch! It was meaty and delicious! The lady running it provides good service too, and my partner ordered curry, which had a hidden touch of sourness. The shop feels totally Showa-era, and smoking is allowed.
