A step back in time with the cutest family operating a small coffee shop with tasty pudding (limited edition quantity), an egg sandwich made from scratch and coffee. Sure, do you wait, yes, is it worth it, yes. Everything is made while you wait and it’s an experience. What was once a quiet coffee shop has become a well worth tourist experience, so with seating for 15 and nothing rushed, be patient! Cash only.
View on GoogleHonestly, it’s a breakfast/Dessert Spot with a Welcoming, passionate Staff and unique atmosphere. You’ll wait in line for a spot as the shop can only accommodate a small batch of customers at one setting. It’s lovely seeing Pudding Master having so much passion for his line of work, that’s 55 + years and over 32,000 puddings made with TLC. Highly recommend to visit and take a break from everyday stress and enjoy an art ! Cash only and no videos please.
View on GoogleThe owner has a unique style. He has spent his life serving people by making pudding, and even today he continues to do so with a warm smile and his own distinctive approach. The shop opens at 9:00 AM, and there is already a line outside. You can expect to wait for about an hour. At first, you may wonder what is happening inside and why it takes so long. Here’s the reason: the owner takes everyone’s order one by one, then starts serving everything except the pudding. Only after all the other dishes have been served does he begin presenting the puddings in his signature style. As a result, all the puddings are served at the same time. When everyone finishes, the tables become available simultaneously, and the next group is invited in together. Once every table is filled, the whole process starts over. From other reviews, I knew that the puddings often sold out early. I joined the line at 10:05 AM, was seated at 11:05 AM, and we left around noon. Everyone who entered with us was able to enjoy the pudding, but unfortunately the next group couldn’t because it had sold out. If you’re coming specifically for the pudding, I’d recommend joining the line no later than 10:00 AM. The atmosphere inside is warm, cozy, and unlike anywhere else. I wouldn’t call the pudding the best I’ve ever had, but it was definitely delicious. Thank you, Sensei.
View on GoogleSuper cute people running this joint. Mr master was super friendly and nice. The lady helping run everything was also super nice. The pudding wasn't as good as I had hoped but still pretty good, I put a little sugar on top to balance the bitter Carmel and it was better. Let's be honest tho, you come here for the experience and to support this 80 year old badass of a man working his butt off to make it. Long lines like many places here suggest the need to arrive early, all in all a good experience. Thanks again for having us and being so friendly.
View on GoogleWe waited about an hour and a half to get in. Small cafe with bar and table seating. Beware you will likely be sat with others if your group is smaller than four. Although the shop is over 45 years old, it’s clean and well maintained with an interesting interior and lighting. It’s run by an old man and his wife. They are known for his viral and unique way of serving pudding. I got the jumbo pudding set and it was about 600¥ for the pudding and iced tea. I found the tea and pudding very bitter and not very tasty. I would not recommend unless you want the experience and a video and photos for social media.
