One of our favourite accidental food finds in Japan 🍜✨ We stumbled across this spot late one night while walking back to our hotel, tired and hungry, trying to find somewhere still open for dinner. We almost walked past and I’m so glad we didn’t. We had no idea how to properly eat the soba at first, so we quietly watched the locals and copied what they were doing 😅 Turns out, you’re meant to enjoy the noodles both dry and in broth and it felt like two completely different dining experiences. The flavours were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced without ever feeling too heavy. I also appreciated the hooks along the wall to hang coats and bags (so convenient after a long day exploring). When we arrived late at night, there was only one staff member running the entire restaurant, yet he worked so efficiently even as it got busy, serving everyone with a genuine smile the whole time. It ended up being so good that we came back again for one of our final meals in Japan & I wanted to write this so I wouldn't forget this delicious find! Sometimes the best meals aren’t planned, they’re the ones you randomly discover and never stop thinking about ✨
View on GoogleFirst actual meal I had in Tokyo, not counting 7 eleven grub, which is also great on the go. My dish was great, even with a large crowd i was able to sit down and eat >10min. Be careful on ordering the large portion, I didn’t even finish even on an empty stomach, but there are worse problems to have. Easy to order on the kiosk for english speakers. Will probably stop by again, very nice they’re open late as well.
View on GoogleAbsolutely amazing. Quick ordering via a machine, which has an English option.. pay by cash or card.. enjoy some of the best dry noodles I have ever had. Plenty of toppings available to create literally hundreds, if not thousands of combos. You cannot go wrong coming here, you might actually be a loser if you don't.
View on GoogleWent here really hungry and had the best abura soba in my life. What makes it heavenly is the million ways to eat it. I had the full set with parmesan cheese that feels like some kind of Asian carbonara. Then after trying it simply mixed, you add seasoning with each bite. YThere are sesame seeds, seaweed, black pepper, curry powder, cajun spices, chopped onions, garlic. And then for the last few bites, you should pour the hot soup broth. Every bite is an explosion of flavours. Definitely recommend this.
View on GoogleThis one is different from the Ginza outlet. Less tourists and more locals. The set up was a lot more "franchisee" than the original. I had the small original bowl. A lot more options in terms of the condiments. I still went for my favourite black pepper, vinegar and chilli oil. There was even 3 options for drinks! And some soup to finish off the seasoned sauce in your bowl after finishing the noodles - which is not available at the ginza outlet. Overall, different but very good experience.
