This place is not for everyone. The curry isn’t bad. Indian-ish curry that’s made by Japanese served by Japanese and I suspect they are all over 60 years old but working like in their 20’s. There’s a ticket machine at the entrance and you choose your curry and give the ticket to the staff. I didn’t have the chance to browse through the menu because you are rushed. The curry comes out in like literally 3 minutes and you must eat quickly. You are rushed because the atmosphere is like that and I ate the curry in less than 10 minutes. I didn’t have enough time to actually savory the dish. Not a bad experience if you’re the kind of person who is okay rushed. There’s a cult following here cuz at 11:30 it was packed and there was a long queue. But I want to really take a little more time and taste.

Formerly known as "Taj Mahal", GanJee (supposedly named after Gandhi) is the best curry shop in Shimbashi/Toranomon area. Open in 11am though, an waiting line in front starts right after its opening everyday. You don't have to worry about long waiting due to the restaturant's efficient and sophisticated operations. You should know something in advance. - To buy a ticket from vending machine upstairs. And check the level of hotness you prefer on the ticket. - If you visit there in group, you may be led to a table, not to a counter seat, and then you have to go picking your plates when the food gets ready. - To bring the tray and plate to the bar for clearing up after finishing your dishes. Curry here is fluid and make us feel hot slowly but steadily. If you love the curry here, you must love "Delhi" in Ueno, too.

Japanese style Indian curry? Very good and I'd repeat.
